The Cantina Miglianico is a cooperative and it was established in 1961. It is located in Miglianico, an ancient Italian town on Abruzzo’s hills, in the province of Chieti. Nowadays the cooperative Cantina Miglianico has 400 grape–growers as members.The winery Cantina Miglianico manages over 700 hectares of vineyards and it is able to receive and to process over 150,000 quintals of grapes using 5 grape pressing lines. In the company we use a “bottaia” with about 200 barriques and 60 barrels of different sizes and kinds of wood. The bottling division is equipped with two lines, one for bottles of every size which is entirely automatic and able to produce over 40,000 bottles in 8 hours, and the second one is for “dame” (glass containers of 5 litres) which is able to produce up to 6,000 bottles in 8 hours.
