The history of the Bernasconi Winery begins in 1898, by initiative of the brothers Carlos and Emilio E. Bernasconi, who by that time dedicated along with their father to the importation of European Olive Oil. The first Bodega was located only 6km away from the actual one. These 2 brothers, born in the town of Olivos in the Buenos Aires Province, were strongly attracted to this noble activity planting their first vines in the Campamentos District, just 80km from the city of Mendoza.
Since its foundation, the premise of the Bernasconi Winery has been the production of superior quality wines. Today you can find in selected wineries and restaurants the Colección Polo Argentino, name which the winery choose to name its varietals Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec from the 2001 vintage.
For the labels the local artist, Alejandro Moy, was invited to participate in the design process. He provided an exclusive painting for each of the varietals and for the wooden gift box.
Wine: Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Chardonnay.
