Its vineyards are located in Cauquenes, in the South of the Maule Valley, 350 Km Southwest of Santiago, Chile’s capital city.
The winery was established on 23 december 1939. It began its activities with the produce of 30 associated producers (co-operates) and the first vintage yielded 760,000 litres.
Nowadays, the winery is located on premises of around 50,000 square metres and can process and store up to 22,000,000 litres of wine.
The production of 300 associated producers covers a further 3,000 hectares of vineyards. These vineyards are located on soft slopes and enjoy an almost total lack of irrigation (except for occasional rain), which means that wines of exceptional character and rich fruit concentration can be produced.
In regards of environmental research and development we are the pioneers in the organic production in Chile. Uptodate, our organic cultures are Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Cot Rouge and others.
