Cape Vineyards was established in 1994, when five leading co-operative cellars and two estates in the Breede River Valley decided to combine their resources to produce quality wines.
Since our ten award-winning winemakers and their viticultural consultants are able to select grapes from a variety of soil types and microclimates, and have access to the latest in winemaking equipment, we are able to make and blend wines.
Cape Vineyards is already exporting over eight million litres of wine in bulk. We also export bottled wine under members’ own labels, act as marketer for two brands representing our valley and bottle customers’ brands, using their brand names and labels.
Over the past ten years this reputation has enabled us to penetrate the very difficult markets of Canada, Scandinavia and the United Kingdom and to establish a wide client base.
Our company was the first of its type in South Africa and we aim to stay in the lead.
