Chapel Hill Winery (established in 1979), is a state of the art winery built around the 19th century stone church, from which it takes its name. Located just 45 minutes south of Adelaide, atop McLaren Vale’s highest hill, visitors to Chapel Hill can view the lush vineyards of McLaren Vale and their backdrop of majestic southern hills, the impressive Onkaparinga River National Park gorge to the north, and the beautiful azure sea to the west. Chapel Hill sources fruit from South Australia’s premium vineyard regions. Blending the regions to optimise their benefits or making wines to reflect their origin, the resultant wines are always balanced, full flavoured and generous. Chapel Hill produces Unwooded Chardonnay, Verdelho, Reserve Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, McLaren Vale Shiraz, a Shiraz/Cabernet Sauvignon blend named “The Vicar” and a tawny port released at cellar door only named “The Devil”.
