Goldwater Estate Ltd is a family owned wine company recognized internationally as one of New Zealand’s leading wine producers. The winery was established by Kim and Jeanette Goldwater in 1978 when they planted the first vinifera grapes to be grown on Waiheke Island, now famous for it’s outstanding red wines. Their pioneering 35 acre hillside vineyard overlooking the picturesque Putiki Bay produces the exceptional Esslin Merlot, a classic Cabernet/ Merlot/ Cabernet Franc blend and the Zell Chardonnay. Their acclaimed Dog Point Sauvignon Blanc and Roseland Chardonnay are produced from 85 acres of grapes grown in Marlborough’s world renowned Wairau Valley since 1992. Goldwater wines are sold in fourteen countries where they are keenly sort after for their vibrant fruit characters, harmonious balance, elegant structure and exceptional concentration.
