Madkaud rum is an agricultural rum distilled and bottled exclusively in Martinique since 1895 following the requirements defined by Félicien Madkaud, its founder. Spirited distiller ("Lespri Matinik" in Creole language), this son of Martinique slaves born free in 1857 will leave behind an oenological inheritance out of the commun run from generation to generation to his current descendant, Stéphane MADKAUD . Originally produced by the family distilleries from 1895 to 1970, this rum is currently produced on the multibrand site of Sainte - Marie. The rum "Madkaud" benefits from the controlled label of origin "Martinique".
