The winery was started by Antonello grandfather, Rocco Cassara who in the early nineteen hundred started the promotion and marketing of the famous white wine Bianco Alcamo (White Alcamo) which is now known as a DOP. Later on, his son Nicola, Antonello father, started the production of the bulk wine and of the concentrated must. Antonello, after graduating University of Palermo in 1982 with a Degree in Agricultural Science, continues to work with the bulk wine and the concentrated must and has begun to bottle his wine and launched his brand Antonello Cassara wines since 2007.
Antonello Cassarať wines come from grapes mostly grown on the family estate. The cultivated lands stretch along hills between 250 and 450 meters above sea level. They are espaliered and pruned with modern techniques. The range of products is completed by wines obtained of biological grapes according to the new trend of the intern.l markets.
