Oxford University Wine Society is one of the largest, most sociable and successful University societies. Our mission is simply to promote the discovery and enjoyment of wine by all. Through weekly tastings, themed dinners and regular beginner's classes we offer members a unique opportunity to learn from famous wine makers and visiting experts. From supermarket own-brands to Premier Cru Classé we aim to cater for - and educate - all our members, whatever their level of interest. Every term we host a formidable range of wine makers, writers and merchants from around the world who are keen to promote themselves to a future generation of wine consumers whilst furthering our educational aims. Learning just a little about the wine in your glass adds to your enjoyment greatly and the society works hard to recruit complete beginners as well as established wine enthusiasts. No prior knowledge is ever assumed as the Society aims to teach members all they need to develop their love of wine.
