Located in the heart of the Ogliastra region, where centuries ago the highly-esteemed Cannonau grape found its ideal habitat, Antichi Poderi di Jerzu vinify the grape to obtain a Cannonau wine with characterful aroma and taste, rich in body and colour. Over the years the number of Antichi Poderi di Jerzu members has grown to over five hundred. Their centuries-old passions for the art of winemaking and the best experience, ever up-dated through study and consultation with the best international oenologist , has enabled them to increase their total production - today around 40.000 hectolitres - without reducing quality. Constant striving to improve vineyeard management , wise pruning, training trellising and maintenance of the grapevines, strict selection of the grapes during harvest for the highest standard for each style of wine produced, modern wine-making and ageing technics, has enabled an excellent consistency in quality to be achieved.
