Bodegas El Molar was founded in 1998 and it is situated in Pesquera de Duero (Valladolid), a village with a reputation for producing quality wine, in the very well known Spanish wine region of Ribera del Duero. Our main aim is to pruduce high quality red wines, with the very best grapes of the area and using the latest modern techniques in the winemaking with rigorous laboratoty controls during both fermentation and ageing of the wine. The fermentation and maceration are carried out in stainless steel vats with automatic temperature control and using selected indigenous yeast within a temperature range of 24º C to 28º C for a period of time which varies according to the vintage, for an optimun extraction of colour and tannins. The wine is ageing in American oak barrels for a period of 5 to 20 month depending on the type of wine, followed by the necessary ageing time in bottle in a temperature controlled cellar.
