Ochotierras is a boutique winery. Their partnership are three families grape growers from the Limari Valley Our first vineyards was planted in 1994 and our first wine was made in the year 2005. We have six grape varieties - Syrah, Carmenère, Cabernet sauvignon, Chardonnay and Sauvignon blanc - with a total surface planted of 75 hectareas.
Our oenologist advisor is Dominic Hentall, an English consultant with a high experience in high quality wines and great knowledge of the most important wine market.
Our production system was designed to produce quality wines.The fermentation of red wine is carried out in a small square tank (7.500 – 10.000 liters), and we use the gravity in part of the production process of to avoid the use of bombs in our best wines. Ochotierras is a young winery and is in a phase of international market development. Our export market is Brazil, Costa Rica, Venezuela, Japan, United States and Denmark.
