Tolaga Bay Estate, is based on the remote east coast of NZ. Set up in 1997 by Roy and Sue Johnson, the vineyard is a testament to the unique conditions the Gisborne district has to offer.Tolaga Bay Estate is set on 10 ha of fine grape growing land. The vineyard produces award winning Chardonnays - unoaked, slightly oaked a reserve chardonnay, Sauvignon blanc from Marlborough and Merlot. The unique conditions this area provides, has allowed the Johnsons to produce a rare Muscat, a fruity aromatic wine that is perfect with spicy and asian food.Tolaga bay estate also produces a fine Merlot from grapes grown in Tolaga Bay and Gisborne. Our market is the UK, with the lighter unoaked and slightly blended chardonnay's and asia with the more aromatic Muscat.
