Bodega Jean Bousquet was established by Jean Bousquet in 1997 in Mendoza, Argentina. Jean Bousquet with over 30 years of experience in the winemaking industry, decided to discover other wine growing regions, and after a long search he fell in love with the region of Mendoza. The reason he decided to settle in the Mendoza region is because of the many unique characteristics that this region offers.
The vineyard he chose in the Andean foothills is at an elevation of 1250 meters above the sea level. At these high elevations, the air temperature stays relatively cool. Harvesting is done by hand and the vineyard is certified organic.
Since we started; 2002, 2003, and 2004 and rated the Cabernet 2003 as number one in the Argentine Top value list for the year in the November edition. The wine Enthusiastic rated all the 2004 wines as best value of the month with the Malbec getting 89 points.
