Back in 1938, the Marichal family, like many other European immigrants, settled in Uruguay, South America. They appreciated the quality of the land and, with great effort and dedication, established a small winery. Today, this winery is commited to obtain the highest quality in its wines, which has been achieved by the marriage of three generations of knowledge and experience with state-of-the-art technology. The careful caring of the grape, from our vineyards to the cellar, and the highly qualified technical support during the whole process of elaboration until it is stored, have allowed us to obtain the best products out of our land and family tradition: high quality wines. Vineyards : 40 hectares (100 acres). Production: 200.000 bottles per year. Grape varieties: Red: Tannat, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir. White: Chardonnay, Semillón, Sauvignon Blanc.
