Regalia Gold, with a recipe dating
back to the times of Peter the Great,
when it was made by the order of the Czar
for his First Guard Infantry Regiment.
Regalia is produced
by the Russian state-controlled distillery
in Yaroslavl, an ancient city located
in close proximity of Moscow, Russia's
capital. Yaroslavl, blessed by its location
on the Volga River, has long been the
largest transportation center of the European
part of Russia. Heaps and heaps of select
wheat grain passed through the city, with
the cream of the crop retained for making
vodka, that elixir of a grand Russian
feast

The Legend:
Peter the Great,
who loved his elite troops, the
Guard, for their legendary bravery
and loyalty, often became upset
when a night of partying at a grand
ball would render them essentially
ineffective the day after. The Russian
officers were drinking vodka with
the same gusto as when they were
sweeping enemies off the Russian
land. By the order of Peter the
Great, the best Russian chemists
created a recipe of a new vodka
that allowed his Guard to fight
the enemies, if needed, after a
night of drinking, rather than debilitate
them with excruciating headaches.
This vodka was named Regalia.

The ability
of the Elite Guard officers to drink in
quantities caused the admiration of the
French when the Russian Military entered
Paris in 1814. Likewise, the British and
the Americans were astonished when the Allied
forces shared time in Berlin in 1945. The
Russian Guard knew how to fight and how
to have a good time. The Guard was the elite
of the elite, who always got the best end
of things: the choice food, the best looking
women, the smoothest drink. We can not lie,
the Guard loved their “Regalia”.
It is the same “Regalia” that
we offer you today, a legend preserved by
generations of master-distillers of Yaroslavl
and poured into exquisite bottles shaped
in the form of the Russian Imperial Crown.
